The Cosmic Cycle

The Cosmic Cycle

The environment, matter and even we, humans, are subject to cyclic changes in the sense that all events are repeated continuously. Like going around in a circle, there is neither a beginning nor an end.

Every day is a cycle that changes from day to night and back to day again continuously. Every year is a cycle too with its repeating seasons.

Cycles are directly related to time because cycles are measured by the time taken before an event repeats again. For example, a day is a cycle with a time span of 24 hours while the calendar year is a cycle with a time span of 356 days in a non-leap year. Every day and every year continuously change and yet we have a sense of stability and permanence because we understand these cycles and they have a fixed time span.

Several religions believe in re-births that are birth-growth-death cycles with an average time span of about 70 years. Our lives follow a cyclic pattern but the time span of this cycle is not fixed.

When the body we occupy is no longer suitable for its intended purpose, we leave it to enter an unborn baby to repeat the birth-growth-death cycle in another human body. But in each re-birth, the soul retains its personality traits and experiences.

Children in a house may inherit the physical appearance of their parent but each child displays different personality. This may also explain why we have materially improved but spiritually degraded over the years. Degraded in the sense that we have less happiness, peace and true love.

When everything on Earth is subject to repeating cycles, it is logical to assume that the life of our planet Earth, too, follows a similar cyclic pattern. Life on Planet Earth must start at a certain point ( Birth ) and progress to a peak ( Maturity ) before it begins to decay ( Old age ) and reach a point of complete destruction ( Death ). Like all cycles, total destruction will lead to a new fresh beginning.

The difficulty we have in understanding our life cycle is due to our physical limitations and the fact that our knowledge, too, is based on the limited views of fellow humans.

For example, we have a very good understanding of our physical world and accept that there is a spiritual soul within us but we have very little knowledge of the soul. When a human being dies, we accept that the soul has passed away. But we are not sure where the soul actually goes even though different religions have their own views.

Our Evolution Theory, developed by imminent scientists, is based on the fact that humans evolved from a lower life form. Apes in this instance. Religious teachers tell us that we were created in God's likeness but we prefer the Evolution Theory that we evolved from apes.

Whatever happened to the Christian believe that Adam and Eve, created by God, were the first human inhabitants!

Now that we have scientific proof that the Theory of Evolution is a mistake, we must make the effort to understand our true selves, the spiritual soul within us, and our life cycles.

From a human point of view, the real secret of the cycle is the three aspects of time: the past, the present and the future that are just terms used to relate to the physical dimensions of time. We can accept that time is a cycle because the future becomes the present just as the present turns to become the past continuously. With neither a beginning nor an end to time, time is eternal.

Our physical body is constrained by the restrictions of time and space. While our body cannot travel to the past or the future, our spiritual minds certainly can. Our body cannot be in two places at the same time but our mind manages to be in several places at the same time.

Our mind is the spiritual soul, a being of light energy that is neither created nor destroyed. We existed before. We exist now. We shall exist in the future. We are eternal in a mortal physical body.

In a typical drama, we have actors playing their own roles. Similarly, our life on Earth is an unlimited drama. A drama where we all play our unique roles and the interactions with other actors in this unlimited drama creates the intricate and beautiful network of many scenes that interact with each other.

Life can be so much more fun if we can enjoy and learn from the drama of life as detached observers, rather than players, and observe the infinite stage on Earth. So, let as observe the scenes that may have taken place on this world stage.

The Unlimited Drama - Scene 1

Imagine the New World, in its newest form. There is the sparkle and beauty in all matter with complete harmony. The earth, the air, the waters, the fire, the skies all blending together to provide the most beautiful background. The stage looks like the Garden of Eden with its beauty and fragrance. All the actors have smiles on their faces and laughter in their words. Love radiates from everyone. The stage looks like heaven on Earth, a Golden Age with love, harmony, sweetness and wisdom.

In this Golden Age, there are no signs of sickness or death. When the body becomes too old for its intended purpose, the soul just leaves the old body to repeat the cycle in another tiny body. There is no sorrow because the soul just moves on to the next part of its journey. There is beauty and perfection in all the human beings, created by the Supreme Soul Himself.

These humans live and work together. Yes, there is work but not labour because everything around the soul, including nature, exists in its unspoilt form to serve the soul.

They are aware of their true identity as souls rather that the body they occupy. They are aware of the Supreme Soul, their Father who teaches, loves and protects them. Being aware of their identity, they are Soul Conscious. There is complete unity.

This is the Garden of Paradise, the Heaven, where human beings first lived in the first part of the world cycle. Absolutely everything needed is readily available.

Nature served the Souls in this land of happiness.

Scene 2

Moving on, the Golden Age soon becomes the Silver age with the same purity and divinity but just 80% complete due to the loss of some of the purity and love that was experienced in the Golden Age because in successive re-births, these souls lose some of their original energy and powers. Like Silver tarnishes more than Gold, the personality of these souls became tarnished.

But there still is spirituality and the souls are aware of their true spiritual identity and the Supreme Soul. They are still Soul Conscious. And there still is the complete unity. Still everything that is needed is available, nature still serves the Souls. There still is happiness.

Scene 3

As Copper corrodes and tarnishes more than Silver or Gold, there is a drastic change in consciousness of the souls. They lose their Soul Consciousness to become more body conscious created by the bondage to matter and physical things around them.

No longer are they Masters but Slaves to matter, their body senses. They become more body conscious and display a duality in their personality. They display both Soul and Body consciousness in this part of evolution. Their divine qualities of purity, peace and love are challenged when they become influenced by the physical attractions of the body and impurity seeps into their personality.

Bondage makes the Souls lose their strength of character due to its negative influences. Thoughts of lust, anger, greed creates attachments, arrogance and ego.

Pure visions of Love become the impure visions of Lust when the physical body senses dictate over the soul. Self-centred thoughts create desires, which when not fulfilled, leads to anger and violence.

Now not everything that is needed is readily available because greed creates desires to own more than is needed. No longer is freedom experienced due to attachment and possessiveness of physical things. Besides wanting to possess material things, the souls begin to demand possession of other bodies as well when they make demands on family and friends.

Consciousness of self as a physical being causes ego and arrogance. Similar to tarnished Copper, these soul's qualities of purity, peace and love become tarnished.

Whilst the personality of these souls are becoming degraded, the physical world, too, undergoes turmoil. Many kingdoms arise out of battles caused by greed and jealousy. Instead of the one religion of peace and purity, several "Bodily" religions come into existence.

The Supreme Soul sends several messengers to show the path of light but the "Night" has already started and the dusk grows deeper and darker to reach a stage of total darkness when the Souls lose their Soul Consciousness and forget their Supreme Soul.

But nature still serves the Souls and there still is happiness.

Scene 4

This is the corroded and even poisonous Iron Age where the Souls are completely under the influence of the external world. As the water and air in the environment drastically affects Iron, the Souls in this age become evil and their personality becomes dominated by their body conscious behaviour of Lust, Anger, Greed, Attachment and Ego.

The physical world, too, is influenced to create periods of extreme violence, corruption, sorrow and suffering.

Nature begins to react against the Souls. It becomes violent. The souls begin to struggle for survival. There is untimely death, and death comes with great sickness, pain and suffering. This is the land of sorrow. A Hell on Earth!

With the loss of freedom, Souls begin to wonder what is the purpose of existence when there is nothing but bondages and sorrow. Relationships only create more pain and sorrow because most connections between mother and child, husband and wife, brother and sister all tend to be based on a self-entred bondage.

Scene 5

This is the period when the Supreme soul, the Sun of Knowledge intervenes to bring light where there was darkness. This is the dawn of the New World for those who recognise the Sun of Knowledge and make the effort to experience a relationship with Him.

It is now the Confluence Age, the age between the end of the old cycle and the beginning of the cycle of life. An age that can be described as the Diamond Age because within a short space of time total transformation takes place.

The old becomes new. Darkness becomes light. With spiritual knowledge revealed, we embark upon an age of wisdom to prepare for the New World, the beginning of the new cycle.

Understanding the World Drama is the first step towards making effort to transform with a pure, and peaceful personality in preparation for the New World, the Golden age, the Heaven we know existed and will exist again on Earth.

Suggested Thoughts For Meditation

As I become aware of myself, the being of light ... I step beyond my costume ... Beyond the stage of this physical world ... I see how I, the soul, travelled through the ages ...

I am the actor, the player, of the drama ... who has come through so many scenes ... so many episodes ... from the great, golden Kingdom of the Sun ... with its glorious beauty and perfect harmony ... through the Kingdom of the Moon ... to the Copper Age, where all cried out, searched for truth, for light ... through to the darkness of the Iron Age...

And in my moments of desperation, the Supreme Father intervened ... and I find myself in front of the Supreme ... a being of Light ... I stand on the Confluence ... the age between the old and the new ... and I bathe in the light of God ... I am transformed ... my own original role is experienced quite clearly ... I was pure ... now in this consciousness, I become pure once again ...

It was I who was the embodiment of Love ... I forgot myself and developed hatred ... but now ... I know who I am ... a deity soul with love for my entire family and all humanity ...

I become the embodiment of love ... the instrument to spread love into the world ... In this awareness I prepare my role for the New Age which is about to begin.
